Recently received a few "short of memory" type notices via AVG Anti-Virus so checked memory usage in Windows Task Manager. I bought this RAM when I was overhauling my PC and upgrading to Windows 7. I wanted to go from 3GB to 8GB of RAM and after double checking what my motherboard and new OS could support I hunted around for good deals and good reviews and found out about a small firm called Komputerbay. Needless to say, with high praise from across the web for the company, I purchased my RAM from them and have not looked back!Rating
I have had them installed for two months now and have suffered no problems with them and they have sped things up nicely. Installation is the easiest thing, so if you are wanting to upgrade your own PC for the first time, then don't be scared! Just make sure you install them in pairs, either slots 1 & 3 or 2 & 4 (I didn't and panicked when my computer wouldn't get past the boot screen, but a simple swap and I was sorted!) and away you go.

Purchased 2x2Gb for a 2007 Dell C521, which had 2x512mg installed. The Dell should have took the 4Gig, but the only configuration that would work was if I used the original 2x512 mgs and one of the Komputerbay 2 gigs. It is running Vista quite happily but it has left me with a redundant 2gig. I must admit I wasn't sure about buying this product; I normally go for the Crucial branded stuff. However the reality is that without the branding there would be no way for a layman such as I to be able to tell the difference. I bought these as they were the cheapest on offer, so appreciated it was more risky than usual.Rating
First pair of DIMMs delivered - 50% failure out of the box. The surviving DIMM got my new PC working, but clearly needed to be replaced for full memory capacity. I ordered a second pair, planning to send the failing first set back, once I switched the DIMMs over. Sadly, 50% failure rate again. I retained the x2 good ones and sent the bad pair back for a refund - all quickly sorted with no hassle.
Motto: Buying the cheapest is not always the best and you should go in with both eyes open, expecting bumps on the way.

Bought for a HP Compaq DX2200. A slight concern that the manuals from the website specify 1.9V memory and this is 1.8V but comments via forums elsewhere suggest that the computer will adjust automagically. I do not know if this is in fact the case but I plugged them in and the computer still works but, naturally, now has 2GB of memory. I have now used Komputerbay for three, different, memory upgrades. My modules are rebadged Micron modules which is great as I usually buy Micron/Crucial or Kingston. On the 2 stickers is the same printing (1 Gb,...), but in reality 1 of the 2 is 2 Gb! Also the numbering on the individual chips is different. Clearly KomputerBay had made a mess.

You probably already know this but once you've know memory requirements (DDR DDR2 etc) there two further types of memory under your selected category ,buffered and non buffered memory . This is non buffered memory and is not interchange with the buffered type (it won't fit) .Rating

Bought this for my wife who was tired of running a sluggish desktop computer and I was tired of hearing the complaints so I checked out the system and bought 2 packs of this memory to bring the total up to 4gb which is the max for her unit. It has totally transformed the computer, brought the RAM usage down from 76% to 18/20% and susequently increased the overall efficiency and brought some pleasure back into using the machine. I bought this product as it was the cheapest I could find. The guys at work said I should have gone for a more expensive and better know brand but i'm glad i didn't take their advice. The RAM turned up quickly and was well packaged in a hard plastic casing for protection. I plugged it straight in to my PC and it worked instantly making it run faster than it did when it was new. I was buying this ram for an old computer to cover me whilst I built a new one, so I was looking for cheap parts to just get it in an operational state.Rating
I was pleasantly surprised however. The ram arrived within just a few days well packaged and protected, plugged in and worked perfectly. I've been using it for a good few months now and it has don't me well.
Its physical size is a bit smaller then what I'm used to but it does feel solid.

These DDR2 memory modules were received in good time and any comment on utilisation has been delayed in order that I can assess the performance. They have been fitted for a few weeks now and, having doubled existing RAM in the PC, have worked as well as any memory module should. There is one point that may cause concern when fitting these modules and wanting to fit clip on heat spreaders. They are not as high as some other makes and to fit the heat spreader i found it necessary to remove the existing RAM, fit the new modules in their locations and once installed fix on the heat spreaders, the existing RAM was then refitted. I bought this for my neighbour, who was having trouble with a sluggish old Dell Inspiron Desktop running Windows Vista. It had 2 GB, so maxing it out wouldn't hurt.Rating
As the headline suggests, it worked perfectly. 3.24 GB was detected (because of the integrated graphics, this is to be expected). There was a noticeable change in the PC's responsiveness.
For the downside. Because of the smaller form factor, this can make installation more tricky with normal sized RAM installed. Best way to fit it is to remove existing RAM first, as this will give you space to reach the slots. Also, make sure that you keep them level when installing them into the slot. Finally, the seller could help by stating the form factor of these RAM sticks in the description.
