Shipped fast, packaged well. Replaced my mediocre 1GB with the dual stick 2GB ordered and fired up the PC with my fingers crossed... booted right up. So much faster. It's hard to find cheap DDR2 RAM anymore. I'm glad I took a chance on Komputerbay... nice and cheap for a secondary LGA 775-based Intel PC. I have no overclock on it, just straight and narrow so I can't judge it on OC'ing. I only docked this by one star, because the picture show is not what came in the mail; the product is actually smaller than what's pictured. Be sure to get the right memory for your CPU. AMD and Intel Motherboards take different chips and even then can have different speeds within the brands. As well, chips should be replaced in matching sets. These fit certain Intel motherboards. The computer world be a changing, it's not simple anymore !!. I think that everyone is aware that the more ram you have the better your computer will run. But what do you do when your computer is maxed out at two gig. Well, I thought about that and wondered what would happen if I put more in where it said that it couldn't use. Well to try it, I don't want to spend a fortune. This ram was less than any of the local outlets so I bought it and installed all 4 gig of ram in my computer. Low and behold, the computer recognized 3 gig of the 4 gig of ram. after looking at the picture for this ram upgrade kit i thought it was like any other DDR2 stick of ram once i opened the package i was BLOWN AWAY normally a stick of ram width wise is about an inch so the ones i had received where half that they where very small compared to what is in the picture from KOMPUTERBAY at that time my heart sunk so far into my stomach it felt like i was pragnat but after 15 minutes i had the ram installed after that time so much sweet was poring off my forehead it seemed like it was raining inside my apartment.Rating
now that i got that out of the way lets get down to performance, i installed the 2 gb of ram without problems along side the already 1 gb 2x 512 mb that came with the system and after i installed a Dedicated Graphics Card EVGA GeForce GT 610 1024MB GDDR3, DVI, VGA and HDMI Graphics Card the card is performing very well with small indie games such as BANISHED & MINECRAFT with the video card and the 3 gb of ram i thought that it wouldn't hold up during MAX settings on *banished but it performed beautifully with absolutely NO LAG at all.
now off to minecraft how it performed and what was my FPS before and after the settings on the graphics card before the setting i installed all drivers and played a bit of MC without updates on settings or changing anything i was getting 35 to 48 FPS so i wanted to change some setting to see if i could at least Squeeze every possible FPS i could out of the video card and the Available ram so i changed all settings in the video card to performance and what a HUGE difference it made i was getting 120 to 160 FPS, i did however try a few texture packs for Minecraft just to see how it would do and couldn't be any happier with the results here are the texture packs i used for testing and the FPS with each one.

I am trying to upgrade my old Dells with a fresh load of XP and more RAM. I think I can get years of good service for my older machines, by using the Firefox browser, and a good free Firewall and Antivirus. Microsoft says "screw you" to 30% of the systems on this planet? I installed that memory as an upgrade in an Asus Shuttle bare bone computer to max out the 8 GB memory on that board. It works flawless so far in Windows 7 professional. I recommend upgrades especially since Windows XP is not supported anymore. Komputerbay has very competitive prices and I had only good experiences with them even buying some ought ECC server memory. Don't now about their return services because I never needed it. Made sure this RAM was compatible for my son's computer (Dell Optiplex 745) before purchasing, and it's working well. No issues at all. Also, I noticed that the RAM was shorter (vertically) than normal RAM that I've seen before and doesn't match the picture on Amazon. After much research I pulled 3GB memory out of my HP Media Center computer and put 4 2GB Komputerbay memory modules into the computer. Took about 10 minutes, works great. Computer sees all 8GB memory and video editing programs run faster. I used this RAM in an HP desktop system. A year after purchasing and constant use, Memtest86+ reports no issues with either module, and I have not experienced any issues between installing it and testing it just prior to writing this review.Rating

This ram worked like a charm... no glitches or irregular read/write requests. I install hardware in computers on a regular basis and I did not have any issues with this ram. I used a ram read/write program to test the install. Even with the xp os not recognizing the last 1 GB worth, it still worked very well and it arrived in 2 days time even with standard 5-7 business days shipping. I was concerned about whether the motherboard would handle 2 repetitions, but it worked without complaints.Rating
