******UPDATE****** These cards are a bit tricky, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. You format them and you get pictures. Turn off camera (Nikon D5100) and camera does not recognize the card when you turn it back on. Asus Nexus 7 pad has some troubles with this card as well, works then card messes up. Had over 150 pictures taken across two of these cards, but they both have their problems. A bit irritating, but they haven't totally conked out yet. This card performs as well as cards that I paid more for. I always worry, when the price is lower than I expect, that products will not meet the demands that I place on them. I bought this card after the Komputerbay brand was recommended by a friend who is highly selective about all of his camera equipment.Rating
I purchased it in November to photograph a small concert with my Canon T2i. It worked great, I was pleased with getting a great product for a great price. After the concert I switched back over to my old 16GB memory card just because I felt like it.
The next March I went to Canada for a weekend trip and dug out this memory card since I would be walking around all day taking photos. I cleared all of the existing photos from the card on my T2i, and went on my merry way taking photos. Halfway through the day, I realized that the card had stored about 30 photos from that morning, but after that was erasing my photos once I turned off my camera. Luckily I had my other memory card with me and that worked, so I knew the problem was the memory card and not my camera.
When I had access to a computer again, I put the 30 photos on my computer, and then tried to wipe the card clean and format it. The pictures will not erase from the card, and the card will not format. Have had it 9 months and have had no issues. With a lifetime warranty and the price, how can you go wrong. I am very pleased with the performance of my Komputerbay SDXC card. I had been considering the purchase for at least six months because I wanted a compact Time Machine backup apparatus to accompany my MacBook Air that I purchased last summer. I really didn't want to carry around a ton of peripherals with my new notebook so the high capacity SDXC card was especially attractive. I finally purchased it because a) the price dropped and b) I had a Amazon Gift credit that I could apply. Regardless, I ended up paying $49 out of pocket and I figured I could take the chance. I haven't had any issues whatsoever. The capacity is extremely close to the advertised size (127 gb) and I very satisfied with this purchase. I've bought two of these, and they both perform exactly as I need. I use them in a Canon 70D and a Canon HFR400, shooting full MP4 1080p (that pumps out at ~34kbps for the HRF400 and a whopping ~80kbps for the 70D!) and this card has no trouble keeping up with the recording. Dumping out to the computer through a USB3 adapter, the transfers are pleasingly fast. I've shot with these a half-dozen times, filled them up and emptied them each time, and found them to be as reliable and effective as cards costing twice as much. My current work computer is a stock MacBook Pro 2012 Retina 15 inch (8 GB of ram and the whopping 250 GB SSD). I didn't pay for it but its a little skinny on the storage for my job. I decided to purchase an SD Card seeing as it's oodles cheaper than buying a replacement for Apple's proprietary SSD format. The MacBook Pro 2012 Retina makes for a compelling option as it uses a PCIe interconnect for the SD Card slot, rated at 2.5 GT/s which translates to 300 MB/s (that's Megabytes, not megabits, mbps ? mb/s), meaning any SD Card's limiting factor is its read write speeds. Many users have USB 2.0 based solutions, where the limiting factor easily becomes USB 2.0. USB 3.0 users with USB 3.0 compatible readers have more than enough bandwidth to go around.Rating
Since I work in the world of user interface development, I pack several virtual machines for testing, using VMware Fusion, VirtualBox and Parallels (multiple copies of Windows, and Windows server edition). Since I only use virtual machines mostly during testing, I figured I could offload easily 90 GBs onto my SD card.
Originally I was seeing wantonly slow speeds, read/write speeds around 1-8 MB/s, which seemed horrendous. I reformatted the card for exDOS, 10.9.x apparently is slow as hell when to comes to read and writing to exDOS formatted cards, after a reformat to HFS+ (Journaled, Case Sensitive) things were much better.

Compared to the MacBook's internal SSD which ranged between 200 to 400 MB/s (no surprises), the SD card literally ranges from 1/20 to 1/5 as fast as the internal storage.
Since writing 4k and 256k blocks are much more indicative of OS level caching, what this tells us is the SD card wouldn't make for a very drive.
Real world sustained transfer:
15.2 GB VMware file
Write: 34 megs a second write (not bad but not half the advertised speed) with a peak of 44.1 MB/s).
Reads: 78 MB/s with a peak of 88 MB/s.
Certainly fast enough for any 1080p cameras on the market and good enough for those shooting RAW at massive Megapixels (for limited burst). This is a bit below the cheap USB 3.0 16 GB thumb drive which hits around 42 MB/s writes with peaks in the 50s.
Is it fast enough for my needs? Yes, but its not ideal. Launching multiple copies of Windows is part of my livelihood (sadly). For laptop users in my perdictament looking for way to (cheaply) expand your storage, this SD card will do the trick. Its fast enough for large media transfers and big enough to pack a sizable music collection.
The price is right, and it delivers pretty solid performance at larger media transfers. However, its performance is of that of its price. When purchasing this card I was a little sceptical about the size, most items that claim to be that large are hacked to appear that large on your computer, but are usually only 4GB large. I have used it for almost a month now, and it has not corrupted any of the photos that I have put on it. I just loaded 10+ hours 1080 hd video that I ripped from bluray onto my 64gb Komputerbay SDXC and will watch on my Nexus 7 on 9 hour flights to and from Alaska. I bought this card for a new digital camera I recently purchased capable of taking 1080p HD video and 16MP images. The card is exceptionally fast and really is able to keep up with my 24.1 megapixel D7100. The plastic tabs on the underside that seperate the metalic contacts, that is if the photo of the card is right side up, are already starting to come undone and are loose. I do not know if it will affect the transfer of images to the computer, as it hasn't yet, but it does bother me. If I shoot an entire wedding, and then I can't transfer them to the computer for editing or anything will be a huge disaster! My job often requires me to take hundreds of high-quality photos throughout the day, and keeping track of the SD cards is a pain if I'm having to change them frequently. Tried reformatting 20+ times! using Fat32, ExFAT and NTFS.
Only one that ever worked was FAT32, and then it would read after I ejected it and reinserted.
File system just went away and nothing was recoverable.
I using a Mac Air, 8gb RAMb, I7 processor, 256gb HDD, OSX 10.7-9 (Lion, Mountain Lion & Maverick)
With a built-in SDXC card reader.
It just doesn't work.

Got this card to add some extra storage to my Lenovo Thinkpad T420 whose main storage was being challenged. This is one of those no-brainer decisions and with the specifications published, appeared to be a terrific deal for the price. Well, I was not expecting anything spectacular, but the install was totally painless (the machine instantly recognized the card), and bam! 64GB extra storage in its own drive without having to lug around anything external - sweet! Performance has not been an issue for my basic needs of file storage and synching and I have nothing but praise for this card. I read a few comments about cameras formatting this SDXC card and it being recognized as 64GB of storage. When you receive the card, place it in your COMPUTERS reader FIRST. You'll see there is no formatting needed. Then use it in your camera.Rating

The Komputerbay 128GB SDXC 600X memory card was delivered one day early in perfect condition. The memory card performs well but is slower than expected. It is fast enough to store and access music and video files, I just expected a 600X class 10 card to be faster. I use this in my computer to expand my storage. Its been working great for about three months with occasional use and hasnt given me any problems. I use it to free up space on my ssd. I have noticed that it is not the fastest to move data to/from but that hasnt been an issue for me. If you need a really fast drive, you might want to go with something less budget-oriented. I bought 2 of the 64GB, because of the good price, and most of the reviews were good. I put them into my Canon T1I, and it said to format them. I tried and it said they could not be formatted. I have also tried on the computer. It seems both are defective. Unfortunately, I threw away the packaging, so I doubt I can return them. I have never bought completely defective SD Cards before. It seems to work well with my Panasonic Lumix GH3. I decided to get a second one.
And yesterday while shooting a long interview, my GH3 crashed. It simply froze and I had to take out the battery to restart the camera.
I lost a big chunk of the shooting-the whole interview.
Not even sure what caused the problem. But it was the first and only crash I ever experienced with this camera in the past 15 months. I've had this for about a month now. I use it as a PortableApps personal disk drive I can transport from PC to PC, and I have encrypted the whole thing with TrueCrypt. Before this, I was using a 64Gb Samsung MicroSDXC with a Samsung SD adapter, and I had problems with intermittent pauses and slowness. I think this was an issue with the adapter, not the MicroSDXC card, but regardless, this Komputerbay completely blew it away. It's just plain FAST, STABLE, and RELIABLE. I have not run speed benchmarks on it, but it feels like SSD class performance -- at least in the neighborhood.Rating

I have about 20GB of files that I consider critical but which I was very lax about backing up. I put this SD card in the slot on my laptop and immediately down loaded about 30GB of files I didn't want to lose. It took less than 20 minutes and performed flawlessly. I gave it 5 stars.Rating
Now I don't save any data on my hard drive. I work from the SD card like it's another hard drive. No more backups or very few anyway.
