Chose five star because seller provided excellent service: item received in three days of placing order. This is an older style of memory card (as per Brother printer design) and the price was very reasonable. I thought maybe the card would be a used one harvested from computer recycling. However, it was a new, unused card made by a major manufacturer. It worked perfectly in my new Brother HL-3075CW color printer. The printer did a quick check, and recognized the full capacity of the card. This 512 MB card plus the 32 MB onboard card is the max the printer will take. All is good and I am happy with the product and Komputerbay. I purchased this memory to go into my new Brother Color Laser Printer so that I would be able to print large graphic documents and also hold a large amount of print jobs in memory. I purchased this memory for the excellent price compared to going through other name brand companies since legacy technology is now so expensive. The cheapest I could find a same size stick through another company was over $125. I received this memory module very quickly, turned my printer off and had it installed within minutes. Turned the printer back on and it did its memory check, recognized this installed module and has been flawlessly performing since. I have sent some fairly large >300MB print jobs and that printer stored it and printed it with no issue whatsoever. Do not let the excellent price or lack of reviews keep you from purchasing this product. I had set up an old laptop I had sitting around for a friends child. She brought it by for me to clean up after a years usage and I thought I would max out the ram in the system for her as she used it more than I thought she might. I ordered one stick (I needed two) of the now hard to find ram from these guys and when it came I tested it out in the laptop and it worked fine and error free. So I then ordered the second stick so I could max out the laptop. The second stick came two days later (Prime) and it tested error free as well. Now with the ram maxed out her laptop has the zip I had wanted to achieve. I got her the laptop back after her spring break and she is happy as can be. And so am I. I have iBook with G3 cpu, also known as iBook Dual USB. Model Number A1005. I finally decided to finish upgrades for it by maxing the RAM. This model has 128 MB of RAM soldered on the motherboard, and one slot to install more RAM. The maximum is 640 MB. So I purchased this 512 MB RAM module.

The price is good. It arrived promptly. Once installed it worked right away. The laptop has been running for a couple of days now without any trouble.

If you need to test RAM on PPC mac like mine, you will need Apple Hardware Test (AHT) from here:

It came enclosed in a nice plastic cover that protected the memory, something that I find as a very nice touch, because I bought memory from other vendors and they usually just wrapped it in bubble bags. This memory was detected by the printer successfully, and without any hassle. Printer tests confirmed that the memory size detected was the one I bought. So, what can I say more? It worked, it was cheap and they delivered on time as promised. Never realized I could bump up the RAM in my Brother Laser Printer till skimming through the user guide one day - I've only owned the thing for years....

Anyway, these SODIMMs are cheap enough now that even if it didn't work I wouldn't be out much cash. So, I bought this, turned off the printer, inserted the memory, turned it back on, and it started counting up the new total RAM. Module was easy to install in the Brother DCP-8085DN printer. The printer has a dedicated panel door, which opens without tools, and no tools are needed to install the memory module, either. Once installed, it was instantly recognized. From there, it simply worked, providing higher capacity and ability to collate a larger number of pages. I can confirm that this RAM is recognized by a Brother HL-3070CW printer. After installation and re-powering the printer, the front panel display started displaying the amount of RAM in the unit: first 0M, then 64M, and it kept increasing until it reached 576M. I then printed out the printer settings and it says: "RAM Size = 576Mbyte". I'm happy with the purchase. I ordered it on September 15, 2011. It was delivered to my house the following Monday, September 19th. I can't comment on whether it decreases first page out time or not, because I installed the RAM while setting up the printer for the first time. Product arrived quickly, and as advertised. Packaging may have actually been considered overkill for a simple memory chip. I purchased this for my printer, and so far the memory has been detected as operational and seems to be working. I have no way to actually test it for errors. As long as my printer works with it, that's all I need. Minus one star for the ridiculous cost of this nearly obsolete memory. I bought a new color laser printer, which only came with minimal memory. It uses an old SDRAM SODIMM that I thought would be expensive since that's not main stream memory but I found this on Komputerbay at a very reasonable cost and it worked just fine when I installed it in my printer. There were a few other modules that were recommended for this printer, at a higher cost, of course, but this run of the mill module worked just fine. Not much can be said about RAM that works. I bought this product because the Brother recommended RAM for my HL5250DN laser printer was about three times the cost. I ordered the much less expensive SDRAM from Komputerbay (which I'd never heard of before). Delivery was a few days, I don't recall exactly, the day count, but it was rather prompt. No complaints. I snapped the RAM in place and the printer has been problem free. The printer works more quickly on large PDF documents - the type of job that is not very fast on my otherwise rock-solid HD5250.

I bought this product because a few other reviewers reported success in their Brother printers - although not my same model. Like many of us, we have dedicated all-in-one printers - mine is a Brother MFC9320CW - and the memory upgrades are typically older. I purchased the 512MB SDRAM chip from Komputerbay (Fulfilled by Amazon), thinking that if it didn't work, at least they weren't asking an outrageous price for the chip!! To my delight, the chip arrived the next day (they gave me expedited shipping for free!), and after I installed it, the printer recognized it immediately and has been working faster ever since! RAM is RAM, right? This one is nothing super special. It gets the job done, and it fits the expansion slot for my Brother MFC-9325CW laser printer. Really, for ordinary "school day" printing those printers don't need extra RAM; it's only for if you print REALLY BIG files or several photos at once.
