Komputerbay 2GB memory enhancement. Even though the computer is 4 years old , it was easy to find this exact match for the memory expansion. Delivery was fast and installation easy. Received the memory within the delivery windows although should have gone for 1st class delivery (own stupidity really). Anyway verified it was the memory we need for the computer and all the documentation and product sticker clarified this.Rating
Installed memory fitted well, turned computer on Vista wouldn't start, tried taking out the old memory since it was a smaller denomination and noticed on the POST screen the memory was PC2-5200 not PC2-4200 advertised on memory or product description.

New memory easy to fit and improved my computer speed. One word of warning,the voltages of any existing memory and new must match even if all the other numbers and codes match.If not your computer will freeze.Some computers,like mine,have the voltage locked in the BIOS so you cant change it. I had a customer who wanted to upgrade his system to WINDOWS 7 Home Prem. Having only 1Gb of ram but tow slots on an old m/b this option to upgrade the RAM at a very reasonable price was a no brainer. Open the case pop out the old in with the new and yes 4Gb of ram. Komputerbay were very good in all aspects of communication in regard to the order and provided a quick and efficient service. So i bought the 2GB (2 x 1GB DDR2 PC2-4200) RAM for my brother, as it was his birthday and it was something useful to him. I ordered the item late on a Friday, so i didn't expect the item to arrive til at least the Wednesday. However i was to be proven wrong. The item arrived On the Tuesday in a secure and suitable container(package). I came into the house to find them sitting on the side with the other mail i had received, I pounced upon them and carefully opened the package to reveal 2 well made, sticks of RAM in a relativity hard plastic case. It had proven to be a FANTASTIC way of sending them as they were undamaged and where whole. I ran, Like a child, to my brothers computer and installed the sticks into the relevant slots. I booted up the computer and went into memtest to make sure they actually worked. THEY DID, to full capacity.Rating
Not only am i pleased with the swiftness of the delivery but i am delighted with how they worked. My brother can now play his games and browse the web and any other shenanigans he decides to get up to with speed.

I bought the memory to extend the usefulness of 2 old Dell Optiplex 210L PCs. The PCs originally had 2 half gigabit sticks and ran Windows XP. Performance was definitely suffering because of lack of memory. The order arrived promptly and properly packaged. I had no problems fitting the memory sticks and the new memory size was recognised by their BIOS.Rating
I kept Windows XP on one of the PCs and turned the other into a file server using freenas. The additional memory had the desired effect on the performance of the XP Windows machine and the file server works great too. I really just needed one of these ram for an old computer. I saw this product and thought well I get two so that's a bonus. When I went to fit them only one of th pieces worked. The other caused the machine to crash (yes I did swap them around and it is definitely a defected piece ). Basically this did exactly what I wanted it to. Had a computer that would grind to a halt at the sign of a few extra windows being opened.
Fought my way into the guts of the machine pulled the old sticks out, replaced them with these two, and voila! Job's a good 'un!
If you need some very reasonably priced memory in your pc in a hurry, then look no further!

I started having a few problems with my 8 year old Hp computer and soon realised I had a fault with the ram, So decided to replace them. I bought 2x1gb DDR2 533MHz PC2-4200 240 PIN from Komputerbay. As most people do, I spent a good deal of time checking for the right RAM for my old (2006) Windows XP PC.Rating
I used CPUID to identify the RAM fitted and then it was a simple case of looking for it & these guys had the right info which gave me the confidence to order it.
It arrived very promptly. It was well packaged, but not packaged like a egg in a spaceship. And it worked first time. So I can only conclude that it is the right stuff for the job and has made an old PC run a whole lot faster.

My computer is now speeding along compared to before the RAM upgrade.
On checking my BIOS after the upgrade, I note it is not showing 2GB of available RAM, only 767MB.
That's probably my fault for not checking my motherboard's RAM limit before buying - my machine is very ancient - 2008 & Vista!
Ho hum - at less than half the price of my nearest store I don't care - and it has certainly speeded my computer up.

I decided to upgrade the memory in an older Dell Dimension. I chose this item based on price. I powered down the machine, plugged the memory into the empty slots and switched it back on. My decktop PC was geting slower.Rating
I had looked online for some time to try and find Memory at an resonable price,
then I found Komputer and ordered.
They arrived on time in good packaging, I found them easy to fit, just pushed them into the slots on the motherboard and started up the PC, instant memory increase.
And after fitting the 2x Komputer 1GB boards my decktop PC is very fast and moves quicker between documents etc.

Id like to say that it made my life much better, but its hard to explain the affects of a RAM upgrade without crying.
I think about this change every day, and wonder how different my life would be if i didnt buy this RAM.
Dont waste time, upgrade today. You could be hit by a bus tomorrow, and you know there will be someone at your funeral who will whisper into your best friends ear "you do know he only had 512MB of RAM in his old PC he kept in his bedroom"

Ram delivered was labeled and sold as PC2-4200/4300 but was in fact PC2-3200.Rating
I only found this out once it was installed, and after suffering restarts from kernel panics.
I'd say check what they send you before and after its installed as their labels maybe incorrect.

I'll be honest and say I chose the product on price but it arrived within the scheduled time stated and was packaged to protect the RAM modules.Rating
I was concerned that the height of the new modules was different to the old ones, but once I put one on top of the other to check the pins etc lined up I was satisfied I had the correct item.
Installation was simple and on start up the PC recognized the RAM increase straight away. Also the speed has noticeably increased (I just wish I'd bought 2 x 2GB modules but didn't notice them straight away on Amazon).

I had a very old pc (Bought 2006) which was running 1GB of ram even though many of windows vistas features required atleast 2GB, It was sluggish and unresponsive at times. Bought this memory to upgrade my father in law's computer.
Specification was correct so bought it as a good value option rather than to well renowed Mr M and Cru. When it arrived the boards were somewhat smaller than the original installed (in an old e machine from Dixons)! Fitted it and the computer recognised it no problem. A real jump in performance despite it being an old machine and 2gb was the maximun it would take. Also upgraded to
an old vista OS I had so as to be familiar for him (now aged 92 years) from his original XP.
